Disclaimer
Bright coloured suede & leather can transfer with wear onto other fabrics and leave a mark. Likewise, dark coloured fabrics (like denim!) can also transfer onto brighter coloured suede and/ or leathers. This is perfectly normal and won't be covered under our warranty.

Best Practices

CARE RECOMMENDATIONS
Leather is a natural material and needs oil/moisture to keep it soft and supple. To stop it drying out, hardening and cracking, treat it at least once a month with Renapur Leather Balsalm. Use a sponge or brush and work the cream into both the creases and around the joins of your bag.
All of our collars have been tested against dye transfer in light wet conditions however, red and blue leather is highly pigmented and, if exposed to heavy wet conditions (i.e. swimming), there is a likelihood of a transfer of colour. This isn’t at all harmful to your dog, but we would advise removing the collar if you are likely to encounter wet conditions. A way to avoid this would be regularly treating your dog collar with a leather balm, this will protect it and help with water proofing. Just like your leather boots or bag, you would not submerge in water, we advise the same for your Dog’s Collar!
CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS
Not in the washing machine, please! Clean the leather with a neutral-coloured microfibre cloth and leave it to dry naturally. Remove mud and dirt immediately to stop moisture being drawn from the leather.

MAINTENANCE & STORAGE
Store away from heat, damp, and direct sunlight. Where possible, store in their dustbags and the blue box provided for additional protection.
Naturally occurring PH oils on your dogs skin and hair can penetrate and build up on leather causing it to weaken over time. Eventually, body oils affect leather by causing it to start to crack and the stitching can start to fray. This can be prevented by the suitable care of the Collar.
