As a popular member of the British Royal family, the late Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter Zara Tindall has become a style inspiration. Taking direct cues from countryside fashion and riding elements courtesy of her career as an Olympic equestrian, her fashion choices have undoubtedly evolved in recent times – and she’s certainly caught our attention.

The Princess Royal’s daughter Zara is no stranger to fashion clothing design principles. In 2010, she even designed and launched her own range of equestrian clothing for the brand Musto Outdoor Clothing called ZP176. The royal often gets her best style moments covered in publications such as Town & Country Magazine, The Telegraph and Tatler, with spotlights on her style makeover. Departing from her typical sporty style more suited to the fields, to exuding class and portraying timeless looks, Zara is certainly one to watch!

Often selecting chic structured pieces, favouriting classic checks and an unmistakable countryside aesthetic, Zara Tindall also knows how to have fun with her outfits, with pops of vibrant colour and feminine touches such as floral patterns and figure-flattering pieces.

A wardrobe fit for a princess

Though she doesn’t officially carry the title of princess, Zara Tindall is one of the most visible members of the Royal Family and she is often spotted attending various outdoor sporting events such as Cheltenham races, Wimbledon and F1 Grand Prix in Monaco with her husband Mike Tindall. Her sophisticated style at these events has become a focus for many ladies keen to mimic her classy looks and modernise their wardrobes.

There are a few staples in Zara’s wardrobe that suit her wonderfully and she knows how to play up to these pieces that suit her the most. The first is a patterned midi dress with long or ¾ length sleeves, pulled in at the waist with a belt for a figure-flattering silhouette. An outerwear style we often see her wearing is a beautifully tailored long coat in rich hues of navy, plum or dark red that she layers over dresses.

At Wimbledon 2023, Zara Tindall wore a refined summer outfit of a navy and white striped long sleeve midi-dress cinched in at the waist, with heeled tan espadrilles and a white fedora hat. Simple yet stylish, she completed the look with a tan and cream coloured raffia cross body bag. The matching tan footwear and bag pulled the look together perfectly and can be easily replicated with your own fashion choices.

Attending the Ladies Day of Royal Ascot in 2022, Zara Tindall got people talking by showcasing bright fuschia coloured heels that perfectly matched the pink flower in her hat and buttons on her white dress.
